Lost power but nothing else. Spent a hot day yesterday. Erin found a Sonic Drive In selling food and bought some but got food poisioning. Not bad, just a light case of nausea. No damage, we had some wind, not bad and not much rain at all. All those people sat on the highway evacuating for nothing. Heard a radio report that the power company was just accessing damage for the next two days and would start repairs probably on Monday. Right after that report last night the lights clicked on and the a/c started up. So we went to bed. We're going out because we heard Luby's cafeterias are going to be open. We'll see. So all in all, a good storm, a couple days off work and a tale for Corey to relate to his children how he made it through Hurricane Rita; I'm sure embellished considerably. I think I will start keeping up with this blog. I had a devil of a time finding it since its been so long but I've bookmarked it now.

Just a little more wind but still no rain. Track looking better and better for us but worse and worse for Port Arthur, 100 miles east of here. More and more optimistic now.
Wind is starting to come up some. Plants in the back yard are waving around. Still no rain although from satellite views, I expect it shortly. Trying to get all my clothes washed as who knows when we will have a chance again. Still it doesn't look too bad. Maybe we won't lose power. Just have to wait and see.
Rita is still on the way. So tired of watching all the same things hour after hour on tv. It's really cloudy with only a little breeze. Erin went out to find something to eat and came back with the news that nothing is open. I told her that but she is just antsy. Moods here are deterioting a lot faster than the weather. I wish we were on the other side of this.
I finally found this blog again after two years. I don't know why I stopped writing , but maybe I'll start again. The occasion that set things off is hurricane Rita, now bearing down on us. I see on television this morning that people are still jamming all the roads out. When the storm first started making its way across the Gulf of Mexico and appeared to be headed our way, we decided to stay. We don't live near any flood areas and there are no waterways in the vicinity that could overflow so the only danger we face is from wind and a possible tornado. In the aftermath of hurricane Camille in the late 60's I remember seeing the swatchs forty to a hundred feet wide cut in trees along the road where tornadoes had passed. And listening to the radio in hurricane Alicia in the early 80's there was one report I remember of a small tornado picking up a police car, turning it around and setting it back down and I did see evidence of trails cut through neighborhoods with one house destroyed while two on either side were undamaged. Only a tornado could have done this. Anyway, we are as ready as can be. Even animals are taking cover and getting ready. As I write, there is a tree frog sitting on the closet door in my room/office. Evidently he must have come indoors when Erin was moving stuff off the patio. He just jumped off and disappeared behind the bed. I suppose the cat will get him sometime. If she hasn't lost the hunting instinct after so many years living indoors and never going outside. We'll see. I'll try to post every hour of so until we lose power. If we do lose power which is almost a certaintly now from the latest track. Going to have my coffee and breakfast, take all my pills and watch tv for awhile. Will write more later.

It's been a while since my last post. I have just been watching and getting angrier by the day about all the crap that's going down. It is so obvious that our government is lying daily about practically everything. Anyone with a memory beyond 3 days has only to look at the records. Probably, I'm angriest of all about the depleted uranium lies and half-truths. Soldiers are getting sick every day and no one seems to care. A whole country is being made uninhabitable and no one will admit why. Great for punching holes in tanks and best of all, a weapon that keeps on killing long after. 4.5 billion years to be exact.
I've been asked about the fourth eye. What is it? What is the meaning? Let me start by telling you that only retarded, slow and stupid cats will sit and watch the action on a TV screen. A cat's brain operates at a much higher speed than a human's. It's vision sensors process and feed information at an extremely high rate of speed. Thus most of the world moves in slow motion as far as a cat is concerned. This is necessary since basically, the cat is a hunter and predator whose prey is small and fast moving life forms. So, since the picture on an analog tv is actually composed of only one to three dots moving back and forth and down at an extremely high speed, the cat doesn't see the picture our slow moving processor does. All it sees is the reality of the dots and it's picture consists of a line or two of varying intensity. Unless the cat is retarded and something is wrong with it's processor. Then it's slow enough to see the picture we see. Our two eyes see the world around us. Our third eye interprets our surroundings and feeds information to our brain based on the parameters set up by our emotional belief system. Our fourth eye, if we can find it, is like high gear on an automobile or high speed on a blender or fan. It takes all the information from our two eyes, filters out the limitations imposed by our third eye and feeds truth to the brain, enabling us to see the reality and the driving forces behind the apparent world we inhabit.

I see where Colin Powell is visiting mass graves. Supposedly of the victims of Saddam Hussein. Why doesn't he visit the mass graves along the highways leading out of Kuwait where so many Iraqi's were slaughtered in 1991 and then buried by American
bulldozers.
Or better yet, if he and Donald Rumsfeld have such a fascination with dead Iraqi's, why don't they visit the local Baghdad morgues and hospitals and see fresh killings and maimings being carried out daily by our brave soldiers shooting at every sound and later asking questions of survivors. Is he afraid of what he might see and hear and then not be able to live with himself for parroting the lies he's programmed with from Bush & Co.

Missed posting yesterday. Too busy getting ready for my labor day holiday which I finally get today.
I see Rumsfeld says that by not supporting Bushie and him, we are giving hope and aid to terrorists. I think just the opposite is true. The terrorists certainly don't want anybody with brains fighting them. They are very happy to see Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al stumbling around like a bear beseiged by a horde of venomous wasps swatting wildly in every direction and thinking that its thick hide will protect it. All the time the wasps are stinging in it's eyes, it's mouth, it's nose and even it's genitals. When it's eyes are so swollen, it ceases seeing very well, it's uretha is so swollen it can't relieve it's bladder and it's own poisons are bringing it down, then maybe it will decide to get out of the swamp it's in and go home to hopefully heal up and get a lot smarter about how to fight poison wasps and grab their honey pot.
I think the absolutely last thing any terrorists want to hear is that the Americans have awakened and are in the process of throwing out the idiots and thieves that hired smarter men than them to steal an election for them.

Why is it that the Jews can kill all the innocent Palistinians they want but this country raises all hell if the Palistinians fight back and kill some innocent Jews? After all, it's the Jews who are the invaders of Palistine, not the other way round. I say we need to supply the Palistinians with some Apache helicopters and some missiles and let them fight back in the normal American way. Level the playing field. I think the Jews should be forced to let the United Nations observe exactly what they are doing. They would never go for that because they are doing nothing toward peace, merely carrying on stealing land and killing innocent people. The quickest and probably the only way to accomplish this is by cutting off their money supply from the United States. Their whole country would collapse in a very short time. Benjamin Franklin said it over 200 years ago; vampires can't live sucking each other's blood. They need a constant new supply. Jews are vampires that feed off America.

I'm upset and angry today. People I talked to yesterday are still behind cowboy Bush. In regard to the huge sum of money he is throwing away with his phony war on terror, people say it's just numbers no matter how high the deficit or the debt being run up, it doesn't affect them. They simply can't connect it with no national health program, not enough money for schools or anything else. They can't connect it to cuts in veterans benefits, hospital closures, job losses, etc. As long as their belly is full, their electricity in on, the TV gets Fox News, everything is ok because Bill O'Reilly said so. And as long as people remain stupid, fools and thieves will continue to flourish.
There have been no reported deaths of soldiers in Iraq since 9/5. The key word here may be "reported." I see many reports of wounded in attacks. I wonder if the military is now calling all casualties wounded even if they were killed. Mainly because too many people are now watching the numbers. After all, there is plenty of precedent for such duplicity going all the way back to Viet Nam. The rationalization is that someone wasn't killed in combat, only wounded and then died on the way to the hospital therefore is not counted as a combat death. I wonder how many wounded later die?
