Random Thinking

I see where Colin Powell is visiting mass graves. Supposedly of the victims of Saddam Hussein. Why doesn't he visit the mass graves along the highways leading out of Kuwait where so many Iraqi's were slaughtered in 1991 and then buried by American
bulldozers.
Or better yet, if he and Donald Rumsfeld have such a fascination with dead Iraqi's, why don't they visit the local Baghdad morgues and hospitals and see fresh killings and maimings being carried out daily by our brave soldiers shooting at every sound and later asking questions of survivors. Is he afraid of what he might see and hear and then not be able to live with himself for parroting the lies he's programmed with from Bush & Co.

Missed posting yesterday. Too busy getting ready for my labor day holiday which I finally get today.
I see Rumsfeld says that by not supporting Bushie and him, we are giving hope and aid to terrorists. I think just the opposite is true. The terrorists certainly don't want anybody with brains fighting them. They are very happy to see Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al stumbling around like a bear beseiged by a horde of venomous wasps swatting wildly in every direction and thinking that its thick hide will protect it. All the time the wasps are stinging in it's eyes, it's mouth, it's nose and even it's genitals. When it's eyes are so swollen, it ceases seeing very well, it's uretha is so swollen it can't relieve it's bladder and it's own poisons are bringing it down, then maybe it will decide to get out of the swamp it's in and go home to hopefully heal up and get a lot smarter about how to fight poison wasps and grab their honey pot.
I think the absolutely last thing any terrorists want to hear is that the Americans have awakened and are in the process of throwing out the idiots and thieves that hired smarter men than them to steal an election for them.

Why is it that the Jews can kill all the innocent Palistinians they want but this country raises all hell if the Palistinians fight back and kill some innocent Jews? After all, it's the Jews who are the invaders of Palistine, not the other way round. I say we need to supply the Palistinians with some Apache helicopters and some missiles and let them fight back in the normal American way. Level the playing field. I think the Jews should be forced to let the United Nations observe exactly what they are doing. They would never go for that because they are doing nothing toward peace, merely carrying on stealing land and killing innocent people. The quickest and probably the only way to accomplish this is by cutting off their money supply from the United States. Their whole country would collapse in a very short time. Benjamin Franklin said it over 200 years ago; vampires can't live sucking each other's blood. They need a constant new supply. Jews are vampires that feed off America.

I'm upset and angry today. People I talked to yesterday are still behind cowboy Bush. In regard to the huge sum of money he is throwing away with his phony war on terror, people say it's just numbers no matter how high the deficit or the debt being run up, it doesn't affect them. They simply can't connect it with no national health program, not enough money for schools or anything else. They can't connect it to cuts in veterans benefits, hospital closures, job losses, etc. As long as their belly is full, their electricity in on, the TV gets Fox News, everything is ok because Bill O'Reilly said so. And as long as people remain stupid, fools and thieves will continue to flourish.
There have been no reported deaths of soldiers in Iraq since 9/5. The key word here may be "reported." I see many reports of wounded in attacks. I wonder if the military is now calling all casualties wounded even if they were killed. Mainly because too many people are now watching the numbers. After all, there is plenty of precedent for such duplicity going all the way back to Viet Nam. The rationalization is that someone wasn't killed in combat, only wounded and then died on the way to the hospital therefore is not counted as a combat death. I wonder how many wounded later die?

The Liar in command makes a speech tonight. Word is he is going to now give us the real reason for the debacle in Iraq.
If you remember, we went there because they had weapons of mass destruction which since they were linked to Al-Queda were either going to give them away or use them in a terrorist attack on us momentarily. That's what Bush said and too many people believed him. Now since all of this has been seen to be outright lies, A new lie is necessary. We will hear it tonight. The trouble with lies is that you need a good mind and a good memory. Unfortunately Bush has neither. Hopefully enough people do to see through this mushroom growers intent and not eat the food he gives us.

Heard this morning the Bush tax cuts are turning the economy around. Then I heard that 97,000 jobs were lost in August.
Somehow those two statements don't make sense when taken together. Someone is lying. In addition to the EPA.
Now I hear our bumblers in office are going to the UN for help with their mess. I understand they want the countries who told them it would be a mess to now come in and clean it up. But they want to be in complete control of both troops and money. I can't think of anything more foolish and arrogant. Surely, no country is going to fall for this scam. I will wait and see.

At last it's Friday. Taking off and going home early today. Heard on the radio some people talking like the foreign troops and money is on it's way to Iraq. Many people seem to think that all the US has to do is ask and all the countries who opposed this war in the first place are going to jump in and bail our ass out with troops and money. I just don't think it's going to happen while the idiots who got into the mess in the first place keep demanding that they be left in total control of all the contributing countries troops, money, etc. Nobody is that stupid. I'll wait and see though.
Got an answer to my question about Jews going to hell for not being Baptists. I was told that in the last days, God will show them the light and they will all convert. It's unclear about how this will be accomplished; fiery chariots or burning bushes or something, I suppose. I'm supposed to look it up and I may just do that this weekend.

Yesterday I signed a paper opposing the recall election in California and sent it on to a very dear friend living in that state and who probably will vote in the upcoming election. Her question was that since the ballot was already printed, wasn't my plea a little late. I think not since the first thing on the ballot is yes or no on recalling the governor. If the majority vote no, the selection of a replacement becomes a moot point. Yes, California is in bad shape financially. Funds are simply not available for public schools, libraries and so many other services. If this were the only state with problems like this then it might make sense to lay them at the feet of the governor, his administration and his legislature. But it seems to be endemic to a majority of the states. Texas is just as bad off. Children are starting school this year with history, science and other books 14 years out of date in addition to huge classes because of a lack of funds to hire teachers. Money for the Childrens Health Insurance Program has been cut in half as well as dental, optical and mental health being eliminated for the half of children still covered. At least 20 states are on the verge of bankruptcy. Do we recall governors in all these states and blame the problem on them. No, stop wasting time and money on mid-term recalls for something one man can't control. Recall him if he's an outright crook who stole the states money for himself or is guilty of other crimes but not because times are hard. Get the Federal Government out of the state's business and maybe there is a chance. That's where most of the problem lies. The money belonging to the states is being sucked up like a big vacuum cleaner but very little is coming back.
George Bush makes a big show of "no child left behind" and his other little programs but his administration doesn't budget the money for them. Today, they want 60 or 70 billion more dollars for his little misadventure in Iraq. They say they want to rebuild Iraq but what they are really saying is they want for Bechtel, Halliburton and their other cronies to make a lot of money. There are plenty of Iraqis perfectly capable of rebuilding their country; after all they did it pretty well the last time we destroyed it in 1991. At least as well as they could under the embargoes and sanctions and other handicaps the United States placed on them. At least a hundred thousand children died as a result of unclean water, inadequate medicines and depleted uranium from the munitions we used. I think it was Madeline Albright who said those deaths were worth it. What IT was, she didn't say as I remember.
This week, we are also giving 9 billion in loan gurantees to Israel in addition to the billions we already gave them. Israel never repays any of these loans. They are repaid by the taxpayers of California, Texas and all the other states who can't get decent education for their children, health care for their sick, medicine for their elderly or decent jobs for their able bodied. Changing governors in California is not going to solve anything, changing some people in Congress and changing a president might help. This one ran a couple of oil companies into the ground before he turned to politics and traded his bottle for a bible. He seems to be doing the same thing with our country.

Managed to pay most our monthly bills today. Social Security check appeared in the bank this morning. It's such a relief to go online and see the new bank balance. So many things can go wrong with electronic transfers; power outages, internet problems or someone simply punching in one wrong number. This month I now have Medicare. As near as I can see, I really have little benefit at all from the $59.00 being deducted from my social security check every month. I still have to work and pay $307.70 for health insurance out of my monthy paycheck of $831.14 after taxes leaving me $523.44 every month to blow on doctor visits, medications and now $1.65 a gallon for gas to drive the 48 miles to and from work every day. Things could be so much worse though, I'm eternally grateful for where I am. I could be standing on some foreign street somewhere with a rifle not knowing if I was going to live another day. I could be living under a bridge without a family, without a job and without hope. So many are. I have an idea. With the tremendous data base computing power available now, why couldn't we simply do away with the professional charities like the United Way, etc. and simply match people in need with people having extra. Family A needs an extra $100.00 a month to survive. Families B through E all together can manage to spare that total amount. So the computer matches A with B,C,D,E who each send A what they can each month. If family A's fortunes change for the better, they could reduce the amount they need in the database and maybe someday move from being a donee to being a donor. Cut out the middleman and increase the amount available for living. Sure, there would be scams but probably less since there would be direct contact or at least contact through the mail when sending a share and receiving an acknowledgement. It would eliminate the people showing up for handouts at food pantries while driving $45,000.00 SUV's.

Yesterday, someone close to me was told that all Catholics are going to hell because they hadn't accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior in the Baptist Church. This seems to be a fundamentalist belief. What is surprising to me is the intense support of the Jews and Israel by this type of fundamentalist Christian. This is justified by the biblical verses naming the Jews as God's Chosen People. Now it seems to me by the reasoning regarding Catholics that all Jews are going to hell too. I think very few of the Israelites have pledged membership in the Baptist Church lately. Now it seems even stranger that God would choose a people and then send them to hell. But then, I don't know what exactly the Jewish people were chosen for. I need to read up on this some more.

Labor day and I'm at work as usual. Not too bad though, since I'm the only one here. I turn 65 this month and I'm real tired of working but there isn't any other way to survive and keep my family fed. I'm so much better off than a lot of people because I can work and I do have a job. I feel so bad for all those who are struggling in minimum wage work and now the Bush Administration has cut off their overtime so the big corporations that own Home Depot and WalMart. etc. can pay out less in wages and make more profits to pay their exec's some more big bonuses. They are bragging they have made it possible for more people to be eligible for overtime pay, then privately suggested cutting base pay so the final paycheck comes out the same.
I think it's criminal for our federal government to spend so much money on aid to Israel and big contracts to favorite companies to do work in Iraq for sometimes 50 times what it would cost for Iraqi companies to do the same work while so many children go to bed hungry and to school barefoot in our own country. Whatever happened to the "charity begins at home thing". I heard this morning that 3 million jobs have been lost since 2000. Also read today that the Republican fund raising effort has been outsourced to India. Americans aren't qualified to call other Americans and ask for a political donation? Can people in India do this job so much better? Or so much cheaper; which is probably the bottom line. Lyndon Larouche may be a conspiracy nut and a little bit on the wobbly side but he makes more sense economically than anyone else I've read lately. Bring back the WPA and the CCC, put our people back to work on projects to repair and rebuild our own countries infrastructure. That makes sense. Legislate a big tax penalty on companies that move out of the country instead of the big tax break in effect now. Our country and our people are hurting and something needs to be done. We are on a wrong path and need to turn back and find our right way.
